Flashback: Steve Jobs Introduces the First Apple Store in 2001

Here is a video of Steve Jobs introducing the Apple Store when it first opened ten years ago in Tysons Corner Center, Virginia in May, 2001. Cult of Mac has some photographs from opening day here. The store is pretty similar to what it looks like today. The genius bar even existed in 2001. The big difference is the missing iPods, iPhones ands iPads. The first store also had a special kids section. The Apple Store obviously went on to be a huge success. Take a look:
